Coup d'etat Takes Place In Washington; Cheney Back In Box: Bush Given Toy TelephoneThere is no joy in life like the joy of being right, especially
when other people keep on insisting that one is wrong. The bombshell that came out of Washington last night, where a front
page article in the New York Times (above the fold!) stated that Iran had no nukes, wasn't planning to get any, and couldn't
get any even if they wanted to until 2015 exploded with a resonance that we will all be listening to for years. There is no
way that you can underestimate the importance of this article. Basically, it means that Admiral Fallon and the realists have
won and there will be no Iran war; and that Dick Cheney and his group of crazy Israel-Firsters have lost- lost completely. Of course, "Let Us Have Peace" was of this opinion right from
the start. The U.S. military shot its wad in Iraq two years ago. I know of no way that a war can be fought without troops
and ordnance. We don't have any. Twenty percent of the cannon fodder showing up at the recruitment offices to join the
military services now require special exemptions, either for being convicted felons or having serious physical problems such
as obesity or diabetes. Of course it goes without saying that the vast majority of individuals like these are incapable of
conforming to military discipline or being trained to do anything at all, either because they are sociopaths or because they
aren't healthy enough to be soldiers in the first place. Ah,
but Bush and Cheney will just drop nukes, or so I was told. Sure, they'll just drop nukes on Russia's border and Putin
won't do anything about it.That's sort of like saying the Chinese will nuke Montreal and Calgary and the U.S will
just sit there, with their thumb in their bum and their mind in neutral. With the political climate in the country the way
it is right now, any orders to drop nukes on Iran would be pocketed by high-ranking military officers. One wonders what far-reaching implications this will have in Washington.
Have the Ziofools finally had their day? Last summer when the much-vaunted Israeli Army got their ass placed in the well-known
sling by a couple of hundred Hezbollah guerrillas in Southern Lebanon I felt that there would be serious and long-ranging
implications for U.S.support for Israel. So much of the U.S. support for the Zionist colonial project is based on outdated
and untrue myths concerning the superiority of the Israeli Army (the only army in the world, by the way, with 35% psychiatric
casualties) that I felt that once the first shock at the scope of Israel's defeat sunk in the U.S military establishment
would really take a serious look at further U.S. support for Zionism. Now, I am not speaking about U.S. POLITICAL support
for Israel or AIPAC or any of that.I am speaking about the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. Don't count these guys out.
I once heard a well- known senator state that at least 40% of the American people consisted of boobs, crackpots and loonies
and he saw no reason why this population should not be well represented in the Congress and Senate. However you cannot get
through any of the service academies without having at least some brains. I
feel we are in for a wild ride. Will Bush and Cheney spend the next year clearing brush at their respective ranches? What
will Brent Scrowcroft and Pappy Bush do? Will they basically take over? In the end, will it be the Military-Industrial complex
which rids us of the Israel-Firsters? Will it be the Navy which decides there will not be another war fought by this country
for Zionism? Stay tuned. As Confucious said, "May you live in interesting times" Well, I think we're living in them.
